Dog day afternoon
Had to put the old girl down this afternoon. Rocked up to the vets with the family, wife had to take her in.
Didn't know an old fossil like me could get so emotional. Tried not to blabba in front of the kids but bloody hard, must be age thing.
Going to miss her.
See ya in the next world Jessie. (12yrs) whatever that is in dog years.
Constant companions and loyal friends are very hard to lose. God bless
ReplyDeleteCheers Joe.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear Guido.
ReplyDeleteCommiserations. Real men do indeed blub when one of their mates mates leave them. I did too
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that mate, one of my boys is 15 and I dread the day!
ReplyDeleteVery sorry to hear of Jessie's passing, please accept my condolences
ReplyDeleteIt's a horrible experience to go through, we lost our first dog 5 years back and I still fill up with tears when I think about him! Dogs are so much more than pets, they are family!

ReplyDeleteMy sincerest condolences. Several years ago, I turned my then-2 yr old best buddy into the Humane Society after he had killed a neighbors dog - and after a bunch of other issues. We have one going on 15 years, and know that someday will have to make the decision you just had to. Warmest Regards, Dean
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for your kind words, its going to take a while getting use to not having her around. Cheers.
ReplyDeleteIt`s not an age thing at all,it`s pure Love for your family friend. We lost our dearest little friend "Sponge", five years ago,and i nicknamed him Sponge because he had huge paws that soaked up the rainwater like a sponge.
ReplyDeleteIt broke my heart to say farewell to him. So i understand completely and i am sorry for your family`s loss. Try and Remember the good times. BB
